I just want to give my two cents on this and tell you a story.

A couple weeks ago, I was hired at Target. I have a job at Target. Not a big deal right?

It is a big deal because i’m a transman.

It doesn’t take a genius to conclude that it’s hard for me, my brothers, and sisters to get a job. There are legal restraints regarding the job and if you don’t pass, it’s hard to be taken seriously at a job interview.

Right on the application, it asks what your preferred name is. It also asks if there is anything that target should know. I put the fact that I am a transman, expecting not to get a call because usually when you put that down, people will throw out the application. I got TWO interviews.

At the interview, they asked me about it. I told them I am on hormones and they told me that they didn’t care. Not in the sense that they don’t emotionally care, but that it didn’t matter. I was male and that’s all that mattered. They also told me that they give sex same couples benefits in states that do not recognize them as a married couple.

At my job orientation, I was not misgendered once. Even my supervisors who weren’t sure of my gender avoided pronoun use, which I found only happens when you’ve had pronoun training. They gave me a name tag with my preferred name and didn’t ask questions. I felt safe and respected, which is huge for a trans* person.

TLDR: Target is amazing not just for the LGB, but also the T. Shop there for the rest of your life.

i get what you’re saying but i don’t understand one thing that one of them said up there,why won’t target let you say “merry christmas”? I mean it’s not that big of a deal saying merry christmas and all.

I really love the lady that says “When you can give equal respects to all of your customers, then maybe many of us will come back” in a paragraph dedicated to how she won’t shop at Target because of gays and muslims.

Also, Mr. “we can’t expose children to such debauchery” got a right chuckle out of me. Yeah, better get your kids out of a store that advertises with slogans like “be yourself” and “that’s love”.

I am a HUUUUGE MLP Fan since I was a little girl! Back in the 90#s I watched the series, I loved the movie, in bed I listened to the audio books, I played with the g1 figures, I collected and customized g3 figures and today love the revival of mpl! Since I saw the first episode of MLP: friendship is magic I wanted to cosplay somepony! Ok, Gilda is not a pony, but I kinda like her and her look and I would love to know more about her good ol’ times with RD!

It’s mainly a closet cosplay, except the leather jacket. Guess I have to give the wig some more coloring so the purple pops out. Oh, the hair is inspired by Schpog’s human Gilda.

Oh come on not fair! Show us whats behind the mask~ And yes, yes hypocritical anon blah blah but I can promise you know who I am.
